BEFORE THE ARCHITECT – Mrs. AG's House Designs AND HOME BUILDING PLAN DESIGNS
1 DEMO, PLEASE
. . . . . . .
The AG and Mrs. AG would be delighted to show you all their inside work; however, they almost never took pictures of it and most of those that they did take don't make much sense unless you get a boatload of words with 'em and that'd take the fun out of album-touring.
Nevertheless, here's about as good as it gets for interior before and after. This is a smallish demo and redo in a Cape Cod. Mrs. AG wants the wall gone in the first pic and in the second pic you can see that she got what she wanted. In the darkish third pic you can she where she was headed all along:
|
extend the space to the left and over a substantially lower garage and thereat add a beautifully tiled wet bar. | |
|
convert the hole with which she started into a breakfast eat-in area with bar and pass-through to the new kitchen beyond. |
First pic is before it hit the fan. "It" herewith being the paneling and the wall it hung on, the orangish ball-light, the green door, and the designer lavatory setup in what must have been a bed with a lavatory kicker.
Second pic is after it hit the fan. (Note well the Quoizel hanging just inches from the action. Be it known far and wide that the Quoizel in this pic now hangs to the left of the AG's main workstation.) The orangish ball-light is about to be dismounted. You can see past the demoed wall that that space is taking quite a beating, too. That far-space will become a highly utilitarian kitchen at the crossroads of the redesigned house.
Third pic is after the dust settled. The AG was especially enamored of the brass-railed bar and wet bar sink, wouldn't you know?
