7) A switch controlled receptacle
a) shall not be greater than a single receptacle outlet wiring, i.e., no split receptacles, or
b) shall be both sides of a duplex receptacle or
c) shall be all 3 sides of a triplex receptacle set up or
d) shall be all 4 sides of a quadraplex receptacle set up and
e) that is, shall be to all receptacles in a given electric outlet wiring.
8) A Ground Fault electrical Circuit Interrupter receptacle exterior to a door
a) shall be weatherproof
b) shall be sited on each side of the door wherever possible
c) shall apply to any exterior door
d) in a stairwell
e) to covered or open patio or porch without regard to level
9) Certain receptacles shall be singleplex (or appropriately hard-wired to a junction box), including but not limited to those serving
a) clothes washer
b) clothes drier
c) dishwasher
d) refrigerator
e) freezer
f) refrigerator/freezer
g) wine cooler
h) chill drawer
i) central vacuum
j) any appliance switch control when a multiplex receptacle exclusively branched from the controlling switch is not desirable (i.e., split-wire receptacles with less than all ports subject to a single branch’s switch control shall be prohibited)
k) under-counter or auxiliary water heater
10) GFCI protection shall be applied to
a) a receptacle
i) within 6 linear feet of a water source or container or
