Yep.  Ceiling fans.  In houses and magazines and on TV, you can see ceiling fans misdetailed.

This is the point to most of the house plan schedules by Before The Architect:  take out the guesswork; take the contractor and subcontractors from the business of designing house plan sets.  Let 'em pay attention to what they're supposed to be doing: building.
