SUNSHINE BETWEEN LEAVES

LYRICS BY RALPH PRESSEL

© 1989 RALPH PRESSEL

Stanza #1:

Sunshine between leaves

Easily deceives

The eye to make a wall

Through which birds pass.

Stanza #2:

A massive mountain's crest

Will never get the best

Of storm, of season

Wearing at its height.

Stanza #3:

Now a fair woman's hair

Draws a young man's stare

Still, he stalls reaching to touch.

Stanza #4:

The wonder of it all —

Of curve and line, the fall

And rise of stuff and sense.

Chorus:

    Shadow, flight.

Granite, weather.

Lovers' rush.

Together.
